London Demonstration calls Egyptian Army to lift Gaza siege

London UK, 6th June 2010 – Over a thousand demonstrators marched to the Egyptian embassy in London following Israel’s latest crime of killing humanitarian aid workers who tried to break the siege of Gaza.
At the Egyptian Embassy, the demonstration was addressed by Taji Mustafa in English and Dr Yusuf Abul-Harith in Arabic – both media representatives of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Britain. Both denounced the Arab regimes - especially Egypt – for aiding and protecting Israel by enforcing the siege of Gaza. They said these corrupt agents of the West are the ones who have prevented the armies from doing their duty of helping the oppressed, ending the blockade and liberating Palestine.
The speakers argued that UN resolutions cannot end the siege and oppression; that Arab league summits are nothing more than a deliberate destraction; and that though charity is well meant, it is not a solution. The brave aid workers highlighted the issue of the blockade - but they could never have ended blockade and all the oppression. Only armies can face armies and the Muslims have armies, but no political leadership.
They called for the removal of the illegitimate regimes in the Muslim world, establishment of the Khilafah and liberation of the occupied lands.
Speakers also illustrated how his episode has led to further humiliation of Muslims by the West – in particular Turkey. Whilst the NATO charter says an attack on one country is an attack on all, Turkey is expected to be the first to send solidiers to kill Muslims in Afghanistan when the US was attacked in 2001, yet NATO remains silent when Muslims from Turkey have been slaughtered by Israel. The speakers made a call to the Muslims of Turkey, which was once the seat of the Uthmani Khilafah - a super power - but is now humiliated by Western powers. They said there should not be a "downgrading" of trade agreements and military cooperation but that Turkey must immediately cease any dealings with the criminal Israeli entity.
