Hizb ut-Tahir on Sunday organized two protests in support of the “Syrian revolution” in Tripoli and in the Masnaa border crossing area, according to a statement issued by the party.
“The protests are to condemn the Syrian regime’s brutal massacres,” the statement said.
Syria has witnessed anti-regime protests since mid-March. The United Nations estimates that more than 6,000 people have been killed the regime’s crackdown on dissent.
Damascus has repeatedly blamed “armed terrorist groups” for the unrest.
