Press Release: Hizb ut-Tahrir’s 2010 Khilafah Conference

Hizb ut-Tahrir America's 2010 Khilafah Conference titled 'Emerging World Order: How the Khilafah Will Shape the World' on July 11th, 2010, has been canceled. The cancellation on such short notice of this event which was scheduled to be held at the Chicago Marriott Oakbrook Hotel does not give the sponsors sufficient time to locate a suitable site in which to hold the conference. This event was to commemorate the destruction of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on 28th Rajab, 1342 Hijri, and to discuss the viability and practicality of the Islamic Khilafah as the solution to mankind’s current problems.
Though, from the beginning Marriott Hotel officials were made fully aware of the nature of the conference; that it was being sponsored by Hizb ut-Tahrir, and the history of past events. In light of this, Marriott Hotel officials agreed to allow its facilities to be used to hold the event. As of this date, Marriott Hotel officials have not given any reason for the sudden cancellation. Since it is important to hold such an event near the date of the destruction of the Khilafah in Rajab, it was not possible to reorganize and transfer to an appropriate facility in a timely fashion.
Concerning this matter, we would like to present the following points:
- Hizb ut-Tahrir is known worldwide for the past six decades as a political party whose ideology is Islam. It has been a vocal proponent for the return of the Khilafah in the Muslim World and has openly discussed its ideas and distributed its literature and aims to carry the justice and mercy of the Islamic system to the world.
- Even though Hizb ut-Tahrir has an established track record of being a political party that promotes its ideas through political and intellectual discourse, it is apparent that there are those who are afraid of discussing its ideas or voicing one’s opinion concerning matters related to the re-establishment of the Khilafah State. Ironically, given the current, global economic and political turmoil taking place in the world today, this is the most ideal time to discuss alternative solutions to the many problems now plaguing mankind.
- Conferences, lectures, debates and other public events are but a few tools to work with the Muslim Ummah and the greater non-Muslim society. The momentum of this da’wah and the global call for the return of the Khilafah is far too great to be impeded. Furthermore, the re-establishment of the Khilafah is an obligation from Allah and its return is His promise.
وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَى لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًا
“Allah has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession in the earth as He granted it to those before them…” [TMQ 24:55]
Because this is a duty and an obligation on Muslims, Hizb ut-Tahrir calls upon the Muslims to respond to the Call of Allah and His Messenger and to join the global work of re-establishing the Khilafah State.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ
“O ye who believe! give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calls you to that which will give you life” [TMQ 8:24]

In america you vote on the same thing , Capitalism , So it is not a votre , cause voting means to be allowed freely to change , aeven if the change is radical ,
offering the system of Islam as an alternative to the capita;ism is not aloowed by the western democracy , simply will be rejected even to reach the Ballots , smae gore for comunism , so you are allowed to vote between apples and bananas , but allowed to vote on choosing between being Vegeterian and being carnivor , (this is justan axample you know ; )
HUT is any proposing to Muslims and to the world the system of Khilafah ,Hizb ut tahrir is a (call ) carrier ) so ,, what is the problem listen up
5. The whole world is a suitable location for the Islamic da'wah. But since the people in the Muslim countries have already embraced Islam, it is necessary that the da'wah starts there. The Arab countries are the most suitable location to start carrying the da'wah because these countries, which constitute part of the Muslim world, are inhabited by people who speak the Arabic language, which is the language of the Qur'an and hadith, and is an essential part of Islam and a basic element of the Islamic culture.
The Hizb began and started to carry the da'wah within some of the Arab countries. It then proceeded to expand the delivery of the da'wah naturally until it began to function in many Arab countries and also in non-Arab Muslim countries as well.
Despite the best efforts, in the US one person is murdered every 31 minutes, raped every 1.9 minutes, assaulted every 36.9 seconds and one home is burglarized every 18 seconds. Both the US and the UK have the world's highest rate of teenage pregnancies. Men are paid more than women for same job.
In spite of all these issues, America is in desperate need of Khilafah, which has track record implementing justice for both Muslims and Non-Muslims. Furthermore I haven't read anything in Hizb literature which proves that this group is calling for it in America.

If the "Muslim world" isn't at least questioning the vitality, sustainability and probity (nice word by the way) of their "political destiny," then they are delusional.
No one is interfering with the Muslim agenda. In America we vote on things. We vote on people. We vote of systems and establishments. The things we affirm generally line up with our values. If the "Muslim world" wants to take over America, then they better offer some kind of viable thing that is likable to the hundreds of millions who live here. We'll vote on it.
Until then, suck it up.
By the way, there are more men standing in lines giddy to receive prostate exams than there are people ready for a Khilafah government in America.
TheMuslimworld should be left to decide its own political destiny without interference.The US&UK governments need to stop imposing by force a secular Western value system in the Muslim world. The idea that there are universal values is a myth which cannot be justified in the face of both contemporary societies and historical achievements.The idea that secular liberal values are the only means by which societies can progress equates to cultural imperialism.This ‘Henry Ford’ approach to civilization in the Muslim world,i.e.‘you can have any political system you want as long as it is Western’fails to acknowledge that many in the West are themselves questioning the vitality, sustainability and probity of their own democratic systems. The Muslims should be allowed2develop its own political destiny and if this be one based on Islamic principles,then so be it.
