Hizb ut-Tahrir America convened its annual Khilafah Conference under the title "Revolution: Liberation by Revelation - Muslims Marching Towards Victory" in Hickory Hills, IL on Sunday, June 17^th, 2012. The conference program contained four lectures organized into two sessions and a Q&A panel. The first lecture addressed the ongoing revolutions in the Arab countries. Speaker Imam focused on the causes, conditions and outcomes of the Arab revolutions. The challenges facing the revolution in Syria and conspiracies against the Syrian people was addressed by Abu Anas, who pointed out that the United States position provides the Assad regime a free hand in crushing the people's revolution. The second session of the conference began with a speech by Mr. Kayed, who discussed the alernatives for Muslims after the revolutions settled down. He stressed that the only viable outcome would be the establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate). The last lecture was given by Abu Talha, who stressed that Islam and the Khilafah do not pose any threat to humanity. Abu Talha, presented statistics on atrocities committed under Capitalism. He continued to emphasize that Islam is a mercy for all mankind.

Hizb ut-Tahrir works to re-establish the Khilafah state in the Muslim world. The party does not seek or attempt to establish the Caliphate in any of the Western countries including the United States.

The conference venue had to be changed one week before the conference date on the request of the owner of the Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows, IL, who told the conference organizers that he was receiving scores of emails and calls protesting the hosting of the event at his club. The organizers secured an alternative and agreed to cancel the contract with The Meadows Club.
