1) Being a merchant does *not* mean you are a Capitalist.
2) Not being a Capitalism, does *not* mean that you are a Socialist/Communist.
3) Being anti-Capitalist does *not* mean you are promoting Socialism/Communism.
4) Capitalism is "everyone on his/her own" and *not* just buying/selling (merchant).
5) Socialism/Communism is against any private ownership and *not* just anything that is anti-Capitalism.
The Islamic economic system:
1) Islam has a unique and different economical system than Capitalism and Communism.
2) Few unique traits of Islamic economical system are:
a) Islam sees the economical problem as making sure every single human being in society has his/her basic needs fulfilled with honor and dignity; also ensuring that every single person has the opportunity to enhance that life-style through creativity and entrepreneurshi p.
Islam does *not* see the problem being scarcity of resources, since resources are abundant to fulfill the basic needs first and foremost and then people can work hard to compete for the rest.
b) Islam allows trading and buying/selling in a market format where demand and supply regulates the prices of goods and services without any intervention from the government (price-setting, minimum wage, etc...)
c) Islam prohibits the ownership of natural resources like: oil, water, etc... and other publicly needed services like: electricity, roads, communication lines, etc... which the public needs. That is owned by the public and managed by the government for them.
d) Taxes are savings-based and *not* income-base. So they are only collected from the rich and given back to the poor to fulfill their basic needs.
